Water Conservation Garden

The Water Conservation Garden showcases a blend of native and adapted plants that thrive on minimal water while producing vibrant color from April to October. It highlights how to design low-water-use landscapes using drought-tolerant plants and innovative irrigation strategies perfectly suited for the North Texas climate.

Installed in the late 1990s, the garden was developed in collaboration with the Tarrant Regional Water District, the City of Fort Worth Water Department, and Texas AgriLife Extension Service. A must-visit for those seeking innovative and responsible landscaping ideas, it provides both inspiration and practical resources for sustainable gardening in support of the local environment.
